Photographing British Wild Birds A Combining of Interests
From my early years at school to the present day I have always maintained a keen interest in British Wildlife especially birds.
During the 1950's and the 1960's together with my father we kept and exhibited British Birds nationwide.
Over the following decades I retained an interest in observing our native bird species and grew more knowledgable about their behaviour.
Later I combined this interest with a growing passion for photography the results of which are displayed on the website.
All the species displayed on this website are either resident in the British Isles or summer and winter visitors and can be found on and around our lakes,rivers.ponds,marshlands,estuaries,coasts,heaths,meadows, woodlands, rural and urban gardens.
The photographs do not describe the birds or their habitats, nor are these images intended to be examples of photographic perfection but are being displayed to show and hopefully encourage other aspiring wildlife enthusiasts young and old what can be aceived when two interests are combined.
